Fresh off the success of her Barbie single, “Dance the night,” the global superstar is back with an awesome new song! “Houdini” is the first listen off of what looks to be a new record in 2024! She’s going to keep us levitating–she even has dark red hair now!

After one listen you’ll want to play it again. The steady beats are very Dua-esque, with an 80’s retro club vibe. “They say I come and go/ Tell me all the ways you need me, I’m not here for long/Catch me or I go Houdini,” Dua sings. If this is the first taste of the new album, it’s going to be insane!

During 2020, Future Nostalgia became the pandemic record. I played it all the time. Ended up seeing her live in Columbus in 2022–I still have the confetti (next to my ticket) that came down during “Don’t Stop Now.” But let’s get to the video for “Houdini”!

The music video (posted below) shows Dua dancing alone in a rehearsal space, looking at her reflection in giant mirrors, new red hair and all. Background dancers appear while the lights flash and Dua does her thing, dancing like never before. This could be the rehearsal space for her next tour! Either way it has fans excited for what’s ahead. In the meantime, we can blast this song!
