The music video for “Karma” has so many cool things going on. First off, really great to see a video for my personal fav off of Midnights! The first time I listened to Midnights (yes it was on CD) this song stuck out and had something special about it. Having this for a summer single was a perfect choice–especially with the Eras tour really heating up (Pittsburgh is almost here!).

The video has a good vs evil theme, with Taylor smiling and blowing a kiss to the dark side (Reputation vibes here!), followed by singing in a hourglass, which leads to Ice Spice taking the next verse. She proves to be a good addition to the song, singing, “Karma never gets lazy.” Then we have Taylor and Ice Spice walking up to space, because Taylor is on top of the world right now. It’s all about believing in yourself, taking the high ground, and not letting people get you down. “I’m still here” is such a powerful lyric. Always keep going. Karma is good thing. It’s a “relaxing thought”, as we see Taylor laying on the ground made of stone while Ice Spice sings as a cloud. Like I said, this video has so much of everything–it’s very entertaining and goes well with the song. The video ends with Taylor carrying her coffee, the famous clock almost striking 12!
